Quite pity that the map of that game was small way too small for enjoy that game entierly, there's no way that a new epi of wos will coming out one day, i played to game similar to that one not better at all but with a world more bigger than wos4 Ukiyo no Shishi good game but quite poor in term of graphic quality compared to wos4

I finally got around to playing this with friends last weekend and I only thought it was okay. There are only 3 characters and no two people can pick the same character which left me with Ricardo the whole time. You can play as some of the enemy characters, but they aren’t fleshed out at all. The music is also not for me. I personally like SOR4 way better, especially after the DLC additions. Shredder’s Revenge is great, too.

I am so glad I discovered this series. I have never played the first and second game unfortunately and could only start with the third for now for pc. But all I can say is that it somehow reminded me also of the German RPG game, Gothic but in Japan, just a bit I would say. I like, how you can draw your weapon and the surrounded people react to it, each choice has a consequence. To me this is peak of gaming, unlike the games we get served today where you have a linear story, kind of. This feels more lively!

lol great video! I love WOTS. I'm replaying the second now and will replay the third later, but not the 4th. In my humble opinion, Way of the Samurai 4 is the worst game of the series, the second and third being the best ones. The aesthetic of the 4th is weird, the story is weaker than the other games. I find the 3rd game way better than the 4th! Nice video though!

actually 4 is not the greatest. 4 is actually a little bit worst than WOTS 3. WOTS 3 sort od did every thing better. but the comparison is uneven. systems were better, but styles and skills as well as equipment became better in 4 due to the newer additions to the 4. 3 was just overall built better. I currently cant find them though. At some point I was able to at least play wots 4 at some point in the past half decade, but it seems its been completely removed from psn on ps4. and 4 was the only one you could get at that point by then. I had 3 on disc for ps3, but I gotta find it some how. I just can't understand whats been up psn's ass about this series. and worse still is today I start searching for it again, and the most of any recent mentions I can find is it's delisting on gog "by developer's request" in 2021. Can't find any definitive reasoning now. Its creepy and weird, especially for how both are essentially good. Playing Yakuza feels like playing a modern-era vs of the games with better activities, but nothing beats the brawls and customizable styles of wots3 and 4 I just dont get it

I'm glad Shadow Tactics made it on here but sad Mimimi productions has decided to call is quits and close the company after 3 awesome isometric games, successors to the Commandos game style series. At least one company is bringing back the Commandos game with Commandos: origins. Hopefully more companies will make isometric games .

Way of the Samurai 3 was the one that really was my true love of the Samurai games. I beat it and got every single ending, and even after doing literally everything in the game, I continued to play simply because I couldn't handle the idea that I wasn't going to play it anymore. Imagine if the company that made the Way of the Samurai games got some real funding, put together something with incredible graphics and something that you could play for thousands of hours. Would be the greatest thing ever.

On a video listing the top 10 samurai games I saw a comment "No Way of the Samurai 4? Listen Invalid. " I had never heard of the series so I searched it and it brought me to this video. Its the reason I LOVE RUclips. (Even tho they are ridiculous with the cens0ring) Unique games like this are my favorite. It kinda reminds me of SHENMUE

Sounds like an interesting game / series; I'm glad to have learned about it. Video was kind of a mess though apart from that. 6/10. Watchable, good length, interesting subject. Could have been more focussed. Also could have used a script (if it already had a script, then the script / narration could have used some proof reading / listening).

This series needs a reboot.

Way of the Samurai 4 is one of the most unhinged games i've ever played. It's like someone took all the weirdness from the Yakuza series' side content, took one look at the wikipedia list of japanese fighting styles and did a load of coke before letting jesus take the wheel on the programming. It's one of my favourite games of all time. Fair warning, the pc port is held together with paperclips and sheer determination, so expect some framerate issues and the occasional texture hiccup. That being said, I dont think I've ever had it crash, so its better than quite a few other ports from that era. I highly recommend people check this game out.

Way of the samurai 2 had the best story by far. Not even close. The two waring samurai clans at each others throats whilst the Government is trying to outlaw sword practice the start of the gun era. Holy shit love that game. a much more serious tone that the 4th. Never played the 3rd

I like seeing someone talk about this series, as I had a similar experience discovering WotS 2 in Blockbuster way back. However, I had to stop watching about halfway through because you start outright spoiling a good number of the 4th game's twists. It's not a huge deal, but if I (as a longtime fan who's played many hours of each game) am feeling spoiled, then I have to imagine that it's much worse for someone who'd never heard of the series before this video. That being said, good video otherwise, thank you for sharing this series. It deserves a new entry.

I miss lp2 so much. I 100% it on 360 back in the day. I really wish capcom would fix the gfwl problem and put it back on steam. :C i have it so i can still play but i want my friends to pop in with me.
